About the School
About Our School
Thomas Hickman School is a Local Authority Maintained Primary School with a nursery, educating children between the age of 2 and 11 years (covering the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2).
We are a two form entry school, so we have capacity for 60 children in each year group and they work in single aged classes of up to 30 pupils.
The current number on roll for the school is approximately 500 children, including part time Nursery children.
Thomas Hickman School opened in January 2001, following a change of status from separate infant and junior schools. The school moved to new accommodation in September 2003 on the former junior school site.
